Easy guide how to refill printer ink cartridges

Here I will share easy guide how to refill ink cartridge. I have many times tried and succeeded.
In case you must have experienced the printer ink runs out, you are refill your printer ink cartridges and get your hands dirty, but the printer still not working properly, here are the things you need to do:


First, you need to prepare :

1. Prepare ink.
2. Prepare a clean cloth or tissue.
3. If your cartridge is new and has never been refilled, you need prepare a nail to pierce the cartridge.
4. If your cartridge is old / rarely / never refilled, prepare a cup hot water and big needles.
5. For printers other than Hewlett Packard printer, sometimes still need to be reset, so... prepare resetter, or search trick to reset your printer (any brand and type of printer is different), you can find here.
6. Prepare adhesive paper / tape / small tape.

Refill ink for a new cartridge

1. Make a hole with a nail at the top of the cartridge to inject the ink spot, there is usually have a sign, or if not visible, remove the sticker. If not visible too, see the image in the ink pack you buy. *For color ink, you have to make three holes.
2. Prepare ink and then inject the cartridge hole you created and injected slowly, try not to overflow / spill. * For color ink should not be wrong / confused / mixed.
3. Cover the holes with adhesive paper ink / duct tape
4. Clean and wipe the cartridge from the spill / overflow ink, especially on the connector between the cartridge into the printer, and also at the bottom of the cartridge not be smudged. * The bottom should be clean, but also make sure the ink comes out smoothly.
5. Make sure the plate / connector element between the printer to the cartridge are clean, do not get dirty / wet with ink. * If you want to clean up, make sure you wear sandals or unplug the power plug.
6. Replace the cartridge to your printer.

For Hewlett Packard printers :

• Once the cartridge is installed, turn off and turn it back on your printer.
• When the indicator light is blinking, check the cleanliness of the cartridge and printer, also make sure you set it up correctly. Note the description of the problem / error.

Besides Hewlett Packard printers :

• If you felt it was right but refill printer indicator light is blinking, you may have to manually reset the printer / with resetter.

Refill ink for a old cartridge

1. Same way as above, except that sometimes the sponge / ink absorbent material that is in the cartridge has hardened and unable to absorb the ink. Therefore before filled with ink, cartridges should be injected first with hot water to about sponge / ink absorber in the cartridge to soften and can absorb the ink. * Takes some time until the ink drops down.
