Easy guide to sharing printer on windows 7

HomeGroup features contained in Windows 7 should we use, especially if we are connected in a network (LAN) is very useful for making share files and printers between other computers in a network. To share the process for very easy and very useful and help us. This guide explains how to easily share the printer on windows 7.

Perform setting Homegroup

1. To access the HomeGroup features, go to Control Panel and click on "Choose homegroup and sharing options", or simply type the "homegroup" without the quotes to menu bar to start your search.

2. Next click on the button "Create a homegroup".

3. On the display Create HomeGroup select what you want to share with other computers.

4. Once a group is created you will get a password to access it from another computer.

5. After getting the password you will come back HomeGroup screen where you can make additional changes if desired.

How to connect to your HomeGroup group

  1. At Windows 7 systems or the other windows, then go into windows 7 HomeGroup features that others do the same thing as above and then click Join Now.
  2. Then enter the password that was created for the HomeGroup you get before.
  3. If the password is accepted the connection will be connected and you have succeeded.

If you do not want to use a password to enter the Network and Sharing Center, check the option under the advanced menu turn off password protected sharing and click OK.

Another thing you might want to do is create a shortcut to the HomeGroup. Just go into Network and a copy of my desktop icons by right-clicking and dragging to the desktop.

Another more direct approach to create a shortcut directly to a shared public folder but of course it's up to you.

To share the printer make sure to choose Printers when creating the group and before you could go to Devices and Printers in the Start menu. You have to look at and set as the default printer if you want.

Good luck... may be useful... :)
